Having A Healthy Gut
is important because it helps the rest of our body function effectively alongside it. This is due to the gut influecing most of our bodily systems like our digestion to our brain and immune system. In the recent article that I wrote, I shared how one can have a healthy gut.
AN UPSET STOMACH
Stomach disturbances like gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea and heartburn can all be signs of an unhealthy gut.
SKIN IRRITATION
Inflammation in the gut caused by a poort diet or food allergies may cause increased "leaking" of certain proteins out into the body, which can in turn irritate the skin and cause conditions such as eczema.
In this article
I will share ways for you to notice if you have an unhealthy gut and how
WE CAN IMPROVE OUT GUT HEALTH
with cultured milk drinks.
SLEEP DISTURBANCES OR CONSTANT FATIGUE
An un healthy gut may contribute to sleep disturbances such as insomnia or poor sleep and therefore lead to chronic fatigue. Serotonin, the hormone that affects mood and sleep, is mostly produced in the gut. Thus, gut damage can affect your ability to sleep well.
UNINTENTIONAL WEIGHT CHANGES
Gaining or losing weight without making changes to your diet or exercise habits may be a sign of an unhealthy gut. An imbalanced gut can impair your body's ability to absorb nutrients, regulate blood sugar and store fat.
FOOD INTOLERANCE
Food intolerances are the result of the difficulty to digest certain foods. It is thought that food intolerance maybe caused by poor quality of bacteria in the gut, leading to the challenge in digesting trigger foods. This usually results in unpleasant symptoms such as bloating, gas and diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and nausea.
After knowing all the symptoms related to an unhealthy gut, here's how cultured milk drinks help our gut healthy.
Cultured milk drinks are basically milk containing good bacteria.
Bacteria that live in our gut are a mixture of good and bad ones. Cultured milk drinks help fight off bad bacteria, keeping our gut healthy in a balanced environment.
Today, cultured milk drink are widely consumed in our communities. The good bacteria in cultured milk drinks suppresses bad bacteria, stimulate gut cell healing and increase the strength of the intestinal barrier
